Cookie Policy

SystemLock Kft.
Effective: January 04, 2025

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that the website may place on your device (computer, phone, tablet). Cookies may serve, for example, to ensure the website’s operation, remember user settings, produce statistical measurements, or measure the effectiveness of advertisements.

In addition to cookies, the website may use similar technologies (e.g., pixels, tags, local storage), which are treated in the same way for the purposes of this notice.

2. Who places cookies?

  • First-party cookies: cookies placed by SystemLock Kft. for the operation of the website.

  • Third-party cookies: cookies placed by external service providers (e.g., Google, Meta) to provide measurement, analytics and advertising functions.

3. What cookies does the website use and for what purposes?

The website may use the following cookie categories:

3.1 Necessary (strictly necessary) cookies

Purpose: ensuring the basic operation of the website (e.g., session management, security features, forms functionality, managing settings).
Legal basis: legitimate interest related to operating the website and/or the technical provision of the service.
Consent: these cookies typically cannot be switched off in the cookie manager, as without them the website may not function or may function only to a limited extent.

3.2 Statistical/analytics cookies (Google Analytics)

Purpose: measuring traffic and website usage and improving content and user experience (e.g., which pages are visited, how long users spend on the site, and what device they use).
Legal basis: your prior consent.
Without consent: these cookies are not loaded.

3.3 Marketing/conversion tracking cookies (Google Ads, Meta Pixel)

Purpose: measuring advertising performance (conversion tracking), optimising campaigns, and in certain cases displaying targeted advertisements.
Legal basis: your prior consent.
Without consent: these cookies and tags are not loaded.

4. Examples of cookies (for information purposes)

The list below is not exhaustive, because cookie names and expiry periods may change from time to time. The cookie management interface displayed on the website is used to manage the current settings and categories.

4.1 Google Analytics (analytics) – typical cookies

  • _ga – distinguishing users (typically 1–2 years)

  • _gid – distinguishing users (typically 24 hours)

  • _gat / certain _gat_* – request rate limiting (typically 1 minute)

4.2 Google Ads (conversion/marketing) – typical cookies

  • _gcl_au – conversion measurement/testing (typically ~3 months)

  • _gcl_aw / _gcl_dc – storing conversion information (expiry varies)

4.3 Meta Pixel (conversion/marketing) – typical cookies

  • _fbp – identifying browsers and ad measurement (typically ~3 months)

  • fr – ad measurement/optimisation (expiry varies; often shorter)

Note: the “typical” periods above are for information only; the actual setting may change in the cookie management interface and in the service providers’ systems.

5. How can you give consent and how can you withdraw it?

  • When you first visit the website, a cookie management interface may appear where you can select which cookie categories you allow (e.g., analytics, marketing).

  • You may withdraw your consent at any time, and you may change your settings at any time on the same cookie management interface (typically via a “Cookie settings” menu item/link).

  • Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

6. Managing cookies in your browser

You can also, in your browser settings:

  • view cookies,

  • delete cookies,

  • disable the use of cookies (fully or partially),

  • set your browser to notify you when a cookie is placed.

Please note that if you fully disable cookies, some website functions may not work properly.

7. Third parties and international data transfers

With measurement and advertising services provided by Google and Meta, it is possible that personal data (e.g., online identifiers, cookie identifiers, technical information related to the IP address) are transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA) and/or processed there. In such cases, the service providers and/or the Company may apply appropriate safeguards (for example, standard contractual clauses and, where necessary, additional protective measures).

8. What data may be processed through cookies?

Through cookies and similar technologies, the processing of the following data may typically occur:

  • technical identifiers (cookie identifier, device identifiers),

  • browser and device data (type, version, operating system),

  • visit data (pages viewed, clicks, timestamps),

  • approximate location data (e.g., country/city level estimate),

  • campaign and conversion data (ad click, conversion event).
